Skate Shop Showcase - Presented by Ollie Pop

An event dedicated to the leading shops in the skateboarding industry

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA, May 22, 2009 /Art and Artists PR News/ -- Skate Shop Showcase, a night dedicated to the Skate Shops allowing them to do what they do best - unite the skate community through music, art and culture. The concept is simple... each store will be given a designated amount of wall space within the show. They are free to design their space however they see fit. The 2006 Skate Shop Showcase saw everything from a full-blown build-out, hanging branded merchandise, painting on the walls (acrylic and aerosol) as well as stores contributing bands, dj's and tons more.

Nik Souris of Ollie Pop had this to say regarding their Sponsorship of the event, "We are excited to be involved in a festive evening that brings attention to the organizations that fuel the sport - the skate shops".

Additional supporting sponsors of the event include Ladera Skateboards, Lost Energy and Rumba energy juice, Barefoot Wine and Skateboarder Magazine will serve as the official media partner of the event.

Skate Shops enlisted to be part of this years event so far are Liberty Board Shop, Urban Era (Daly City), Val Surf, Maintain, Transport, Non-Factory, 2nd Nature (New York), Good Times (San Antonio, TX), ZJ's Boarding House, 9 Star, Shelter, One Way Board Shop, Sunken City, IG board shop and many more to come.

Live performances thus far include Brevi, Ninja Academy, DJ Patrick Melcher, Brian Lotti performing spoken word and showing a special Trailer and more performances to be announced.

Additional sponsorship opportunities end May 22, 2009.
This year's Skate Shop Showcase will be held at Gallery 1018 on June 20th.
