Rhonda Lynn Kendrick noted for achievements in creative literature
SHREVEPORT, LA, June 9, 2009 /Art and Artists PR News/ -- Rhonda Lynn Kendrick, Poet, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of creative writing.
Ms. Kendrick embarked on a career as a professional writer 10 years ago. She specializes in poetry and is currently occupied with studying and writing verse in a variety of styles. She is also active in a number of literary organizations and recently completed her second book of poems. Her affiliations include the Folio Society, the International Society of Poets, and the International Library of Poetry. She was honored with an Editors' Choice Award and a certificate of achievement by the International Library of Poetry, and was nominated for numerous awards by the International Society of Poets.
In addition to her poetry, Ms. Kendrick is an entrepreneur. Inspired by her grandfather, who was a self-made man, she and her siblings established DSK Limited, an energy firm specializing in oil, gas and timber exploration. She is also recognized as a founding member of The Survivors Club. She attributes the success that she has enjoyed in multiple fields to the determination, curiosity and adaptability that her grandfather had instilled in her.
Away from work, Ms. Kendrick attends equestrian events and watches her bemedalled daughter compete in the hunter and jumper class. She also volunteers regularly with Parents for Legal Rights. In five years, Ms. Kendrick aspires to complete a pastoral program and help the underprivileged.
