Lindsey M. McLendon Paints Commissioned Portraits and Murals
SOUTHLAKE, TX, August 19, 2009 /Art and Artists PR News/ -- Lindsey M. McLendon, Fine Artist for Lindsey McLendon Artworks, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in visual arts.
Ms. McLendon's expertise lies in painting portraits. She brings six years of experience to her own eponymous Fine Art Studio, through which she creates commissioned artwork, designs business cards, and organizes art shows in Fort Worth and Dallas. Ms. McLendon was encouraged to pursue art as a career after a family friend recognized her aptitude for the arts while taking painting classes. She takes pride in her ability to paint in any style, and attributes her success as a professional Fine Art painter and portraitist to her passion for her profession, determination, and God-given talent.
Trained in Italy, Ms. McLendon attended the Angel Academy of Art in Florence. Additionally, she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts, with a minor in Business Administration, in 2007 from the University of Tampa. She is a member of the Texas Artists Coalition. During her time at UT, Ms. McLendon was included in the Dean's List six times and played varsity tennis, for which she was nominated for a number of athletic awards. In her spare time, she volunteers with Glenda's Club and Celebrate Educate Children. Her goals for the future include working with an art gallery in Hawaii, gaining international recognition for her portraits of CEOs, celebrities and families and becoming an illustrator for magazines and publishing companies.
