Inspired by art at a young age, Joyce has been enjoying the wonderment of Floridian landscapes and documenting their beauty for the past 15 years. Recognized for her delicate brush strokes and exciting color palate, Joyce creates wildlife, landscape and seascape paintings that capture the region's natural beauty in its purest form.
A self-taught artist, Joyce recalls her early years in the Midwest as well as her aspirations of becoming a clothing designer. Enjoying Florida landscapes from afar for nearly 20 years, she reevaluated her career choice and made the decision to pursue a career in fine art. Presently, Joyce can be found sitting by the shore, drawing canvas in hand, awaiting the perfect sunset, or in her kayak, making an unchartered journey into the backcountry to capture the visual serenity of a quite cove or marsh.
In recognition of excellence for her work, Joyce was honored with an Award of Excellence in 2007 by the St. Augustine Art Association.
