Robert Casterline Announces Darren Vigil Gray to be Featured in Museum Works Galleries
Gray's work to be displayed and available for purchase at the Santa Fe and Aspen locations.
SANTA FE, NM, September 04, 2009 /Art and Artists PR News/ -- Robert Casterline, founder of Museum Works Galleries, is pleased to announce that Native American artist Darren Vigil Gray will be featured at the Santa Fe gallery location throughout the month of September and will also be featured in Aspen, Colorado this winter.
Known for his landscapes and portraits that include mythological symbolism, Gray is an Apache Indian and prominent in the Santa Fe art scene as both a painter and musician.
"We are pleased to be showcasing Darren's work in our galleries," said Robert Casterline.
"His pieces are abstract and unique, which add to an already dynamic list of work being showcased," Casterline added.
Born in 1959, Gray grew up on the Jicarilla Apache Reservation in Dulce, New Mexico and uses acrylic on canvas, as well as oil on canvas and monoprints. Gray currently resides in New Mexico, where he works from his west side Santa Fe studio.
Launched in July of 2009, Museum Works Galleries, Santa Fe is two blocks from the Georgia O'Keefe Museum and located at 135 West Palace. Additionally, Robert Casterline has other gallery locations in San Diego and Aspen.
Darren Vigil Gray is the latest addition to an already versatile list of established and emerging artists featured by Museum Works Galleries, which include Roy Lichtenstein, Marcus Jansen and Danielle Procaccio.
