Joyce Dutka Honored by Cambridge Who's Who
Joyce Dutka is distinguished for invaluable contributions to the arts
BRONX, NY, October 19, 2009 /Art and Artists PR News/ -- Joyce Dutka, President of Joyce Dutka Arts Foundation, Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in grant coordination and outreach services.
Passionate about the arts, Joyce Dutka established the Joyce Dutka Arts Foundation, Inc. With an aim to advance careers in the arts through competitions, the foundation also funds community Arts Organizations. Alongside a panel of prestigious judges, Ms. Dutka awards individuals in the fields of music, dance choreography, playwriting and visual arts after a competition. In addition to managing the daily operations of the foundation, she works tirelessly to maintain contact with artists, design programs and composes an informative newsletter to profile the organization's upcoming events.
In an exclusive interview with Cambridge Publishing, Ms. Dutka recalled being inspired to start the Joyce Dutka Arts Foundation in an effort to assist a cellist and flutist with their debuts. She credits her success to perseverance and her distinctive "never say quit" attitude. A decorated award winner, Ms. Dutka was honored with the "Drama Award" by Adelphi University. She also placed first in photography competitions at the Century Vintage Art Show and second in a photography competition at the Bronxville Library Show and the Grinton Will Library Show of the Riverdale Art Association and First Prize photography at the Greenwich Art Society in Connecticut.
Ms. Dutka holds a master's degree in speech teacher education from CUNY Lehman College and a bachelor's degree in speech and theater from Adelphi University. In addition to being the president of the Riverdale Art Association, she is a member of the Mamaroneck Artists' Guild and the Greenwich Art Society. Ms. Dutka also sits on the board of the Lehman Art Gallery.
