See Work by Japanese Artist Yayoi Kusama in Milan

An exhibition celebrating the work of Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama is on display in Milan until February 14th.

MANCHESTER, ENGLAND, January 27, 2010 /Art and Artists PR News/ -- As well as seeing the impressive architecture and artwork on offer in Italy, people staying at Milan hotels will also have the opportunity to see works from a celebrated Japanese artist.

Until February 14th, an exhibition at Padiglione d'Arte Contemporanea (PAC) celebrates the achievements of the artist Yayoi Kusama.

Entitled I Want to Live Forever, the spectacle will display the best of her figurative and abstract paintings and it is a unique and exclusive event to Italy.

Kusama first started making waves in the art world when she showed her Narcissus Garden installation at the Biennale of Venice in 1966, as it consisted of 1,500 mirror balls mounted in a field.

Now, she is most celebrated for her selection of giant sculpture and many works that are characterised by large coloured dots, with this exhibition being the perfect opportunity for people to see them up-close.

The exhibition is open daily from 09:30 until 19:30 local time. On Mondays it opens from 14:30 and it closes at 22:30 local time on Thursdays.

Tickets cost EUR6 (GBP5.21) or EUR4 for concessions.

AlsPAC was designed by Ignazio Gardella and promotes itself as a place to display contemporary art as well as conduct research into the subject.

To make the most of Yayoi Kusama: I Want to Live Forever - you should consider booking your hotel Milano to avoid disappointment.
