This Spring Rag & Bone Bindery Opens its Studio Doors for Children of All Ages

Makers of Hand-Crafted Paper Goods Welcome May Day with Fresh Breakfast, Bookbinding Workshops, Discounts and More

PROVIDENCE, RI, April 29, 2010 /Art and Artists PR News/ -- Spring is in the air as Rag & Bone Bindery invites the public to their open studio celebration featuring children's bookbinding workshops and May Day cafe style breakfast. On May 1st, the family-owned Rhode Island company will also offer discounts on their beautifully crafted journals, albums and guest books, as well as host workshops for children and parents.

The event will allow friends and fans alike the opportunity to preview and purchase thoughtfully hand-made bindery items and studio samples at a discounted price, all while enjoying a hearty muffin or scone and cup of coffee or juice. For the first time, Rag & Bone Bindery is partnering with Kidoinfo.com to offer two separate children's bookbinding workshops just in time for favorite holidays like Mother's Day and Father's Day. Children and their parents will have the perfect opportunity to bond over crafts while making a folio to hold the child's picture and a heartfelt note.

"We are using May Day to celebrate the special connection between kids and their parents, alongside having an always exciting open studio celebration," said Rag & Bone Bindery founder Jason Thompson. "Ilira and I love making crafts with our kids, and we want other families to join in the fun."

The Rag & Bone Bindery spring open studio is scheduled to take place between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., with children's bookbinding workshops starting promptly at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. While there is no charge for the studio visit, the workshop fee is $15.00, and parents must attend with children under 6. The studio is located at 1088 Main Street, Pawtucket RI 02860. For more information on Rag & Bone Bindery, please visit www. www.ragandbonebindery.com.

About Rag & Bone Bindery
Founded in 1991 in Rhode Island by Jason Thompson and Ilira Steinman, Rag & Bone Bindery was started from the passion for art and beautifully crafted books. At heart, Rag & Bone Bindery is a family affair. Inspiration for the books was first influenced by Jason and Ilira's romantic story (Jason received his first hand-bound book from Ilira). What started off as a common interest evolved to be a successful organization that produces high-quality, hand-made photo books, albums, journals, guest books and a multitude of other bindery items, here in the US. Rag & Bone Bindery sells at specialty retailers throughout the US, on their website at www.ragandbone.com as well as internationally.
