Guests staying at hotels in Hong Kong before August 29th will have the chance to see a special exhibition at the Chinese Fine Art Gallery at the Hong Kong Museum of Art.
HONG KONG, HK, May 08, 2010 /Art and Artists PR News/ -- Art lovers who are staying at hotels in Hong Kong this summer are sure to want to take in an exhibition of oil and ink paintings at the city's Museum of Art.
Some 51 works by Wu Guanzhong are on show at the Chinese Fine Art Gallery at the Hong Kong Museum of Art in Tsim Sha Tsui until August 29th.
Considered to be one of 20th-century China's most innovative and important artists, Wu recently donated a number of works to the museum's permanent collection.
The artwork in the Lofty Integrity showcase, some of which was created in 2008 and 2009, is a thematic exhibition of a selection of some of these artistic creations.
Admission to the event costs HK$10 and can be purchased directly from the Hong Kong Museum of Art.
The museum, established in 1962, contains some 15,000 art objects, including works by local artists, historically significant paintings and calligraphy works and antique Chinese treasures.
It is open daily from 10:00 to 18:00 local time, with the exception of Thursdays, when it is closed. On Saturday, the museum has extended hours, closing at 20:00 local time.
