ROME, ITALY, August 06, 2010 /Art and Artists PR News/ -- An exhibition of iconic images is on display in Rome entitled La Dolce Vita, with plenty of stylish stars for visitors to admire included in the collection.
The show will be available to view until November 14th 2010 and sees photographs of a huge variety of actors and actresses adorn the walls of Trajan's Market, according to AFP.
Guests at 5-star hotels in Rome may not remember the 1950s and 1960s perfectly, but many images from that era have endured.
The online resource described how there are more than 200 magazine covers and photos in the exhibition, with international stars such as Anthony Quinn, Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall all making an appearance.
Among the highlights of the show are images of Audrey Hepburn stepping off a plane with her dog, Kirk Douglas and Joan Crawford signing autographs and Jack Palance reading a newspaper.
Marco Panella, curator of the display, stressed that this is no ordinary collection of snaps and that people can expect to see plenty of shots from Rome's golden age in the movies.
"We didn't want any staged pictures, but natural ones of stars with their fans or during mundane events," he told the newswire.
According to Roman-Empire.net, Trajan's Market was designed by Apollodorus of Damascus and was originally utilised as a sort of shopping centre, with outlets that varied in size selling a variety of items.
