Painted Axe to Exhibit Guitars in November

Painted Axe is excited to announce its first exhibition of custom-painted guitars and gear at downtown Indianapolis' Chase Tower, November 1-30.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN, August 16, 2010 /Art and Artists PR News/ -- Painted Axe is excited to announce its first exhibition of custom-painted guitars and gear at downtown Indianapolis' Chase Tower, November 1-30.

"This is an incredible opportunity for us," said Michael Gauf, of Painted Axe. "We are busy applying the finishing touches on several instruments now and looking forward to filling the artspace with many different looks."

The exhibit, which will be on the 2nd floor between the two Chase Towers , will feature custom-painted electric and acoustic guitars, basses and even guitar video game controllers. Prices will range from less than $50 for the video game controllers to around $500 for a guitar.

"We believe musical expression transcends cherry red, black, white and natural - the basic colors nearly every guitar manufacturer produces. We don't make art. We foment individualism and expression," said Gauf. "Our intention is to produce performance-ready instruments - whether that be for the stage or in the game room."

Painted Axe clients include John Lee Hooker Jr., Ronny North, Kerri Kelli, Jon Justice, Jay Goldberg Events, 'Bootz' Kenning, Legendary Rhythm & Blues Cruise and more.

In addition, Painted Axe is proud to be a part of Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard's Local Artist Exhibition, running July 28 through December 17, 2010. "Final Lap", an Indiana tele-style electric guitar with a racing theme, is on display in Mayor Ballard's reception area. You can visit/see the guitar on the 25th Floor, 2501 City-County Bldg., 200 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46204
