Richard E. Stoddard, Jr. is an exemplary Aviation Artist
GOODYEAR, AZ, November 18, 2010 /Art and Artists PR News/ -- Richard E. Stoddard, Jr., United States Air Force (Retired), has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in the service and defense of the United States of America.
Mr. Stoddard has over 30 years of professional experience and maintains an expertise in Aviation Art, Fine Arts, Computer Graphics, Education, and Counterterrorism analysis. He served over 20 years overseas both as a military and a civilian member in the J-2 Intelligence Directorate and in the J-1 Personnel Directorate of the United States European Command in Stuttgart, Germany. Some of Mr. Stoddard's art work can be found at various military bases, the Pentagon, Ronald Reagan Library, George W.H. Bush Library, and at the National Defense University at Fort McNair. At an early age, he received training in art in his native city of Florence, Italy.
He received a Bachelor degree in Business from University of Phoenix, in Tucson, Arizona, and a Masters degree in National Security from California State University in San Bernardino, California, and a Masters degree in Education from National-Lewis University at Hidelberg, Germany. He has been and is a member of the Air Force Association, the Air Force Art Program, the American Society of Aviation Artists and the The International Society of Astronomical Artists. Some of the awards he earned are the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Air Force Commendation Medal, the Air Force and Army Good Conduct Medal, the USEUCOM Intelligence Person of the Year, and numerous other military and civilian awards. Mr. Stoddard is proficient in three languages.
