Stanford Who's Who Proudly Displays An Exceptional Artist Among Their Prestigious Ranks

Jan Bainbridge-Perry has been recognized by Stanford Who's Who as a result of her phenomenal artistic efforts.

TARZALI, QLD, AUSTRALIA, February 19, 2010 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Jan Bainbridge-Perry has been recognized by Stanford Who's Who as a result of her phenomenal artistic efforts. As an Artist and Potter running her own enterprise named Bainbridge Island Pottery and throughout her brilliant 30 plus years in the field, Jan has routinely performed at an extraordinary level.

Jan works on hand crafted, original elegant tableware as well as various other forms of distinctive original pieces of artwork. In her art studio she creates unique, distinctive individual pieces of art. Her husband, Roger Perry has been assisting her in her work and providing outstanding support from the beginning.

Bainbridge Island Pottery specializes in two distinctive styles inspired by the enormous beauty and vibrant colors of the reefs and rainforests. They have a marbled slip decoration based on traditional techniques of 17th Century England and intricately decorated pieces embellished with gold and platinum. They are presently refining the abstract decoration on their series depicting outback rock formations and themes from the Great Barrier Reef.

Jan believes that she owes her success to the professional training she received as well as her supreme dedication to her craft. She studied graphic design at art school and ended up moving on to ceramics. Jan worked in pottery studios for 10 years in the United Kingdom.

In 1979 she moved to Australia and opened her own studio/gallery with her husband Roger who had an impressive background in architecture. Jan's artistic fuel is always burning as she is constantly refining her work and aspires to branch out into sculpture and painting in the near future.

Jan's work was selected for the World Expo in Brisbane, Australia in 1988 and Seville, Spain in 1992. She has received several commissions for church installations in Southeast Queensland. Jan was awarded at the Memento Tourism Awards in 2009 for the G'Day U.S.A. promotion in New York.
