NEW MILFORD, NJ, April 01, 2010 /Art and Artists PR News/ --Barbara A. Larusso, Artisan and Designer for BL Creations, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in jewelry design.
With 20 years of experience as an artisan, designer and craft and sewing teacher, Barbara A. Larusso is respected for her skill in jewelry design. She manages operations for BL Creations, a sole proprietorship through which she sells handmade Swarovski crystal jewelry and conducts classes in quilting and hand and machine sewing.
As an artisan, Ms. Larusso is distinguished for creating unique earrings, necklaces, bracelets and rings, each one sewn by hand and made with Swarovski crystals, fine seed beads, and sterling silver and 14k gold-filled components. In addition to her trademark butterfly bracelets and cocktail rings, Ms. Larusso developed a specialty line of meaningful pieces featuring such themes as salvation, autism, chakra and breast cancer. She has sold her work to specialty stores and boutiques, in home and craft shows, and online. Proud to hail from a family of creative types, she considers creating pieces that people would like to wear or give as presents to be the most gratifying aspect of her work. She attributes her success to her creativity and passion for her profession.
A certified craft and sewing instructor, Ms. Larusso has taught classes in Barnes & Noble bookstores, public schools, and various other venues. She is a member of the Creative Home Arts Club, the Northwest Bergen Craft Guild, Women's Exchange, Inc., and the National Association of Professional Women. She gives generously to Shelter Our Sisters, the American Breast Cancer Foundation, and her local autism society. In five years, Ms. Larusso hopes to sell her pieces to more stores and boutiques, and increase her involvement in bridal jewelry.
