Sharon Graham Sargent four year painting major from the Alberta College of Art + Design
CALGARY, AL CANADA, May 27, 2010, Sharon Graham Sargent, Fine Artist for Graham Fine Arts, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in fine art creation and instruction.
With 49 years of professional experience, Ms. Sargent has worked for the past thirty years as the artist owning Graham Fine Arts. She creates meditative fine art works and has shows in Provincial Galleries rather than commercial galleries. She teaches workshops and gives lectures when asked. Specializing in portraits, Mrs. Sargent yearns to do good portraits of people around the world who deserve to be so remembered. This is her fifth year as President of the Emmaus Fine Art Group. She is also employed by many television stations such as CBC, TNN, CTV and many others, capturing people's likenesses during trials. As volunteer work she teaches art to local women, displays her students' artwork and assists the homeless in acquiring permanent shelter through fundraisers. She supports the Samaritan's Purse and World Vision Inc. She attributes her success to God.
Nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize for her art work (1983) when she was 12 years old, Mrs. Sargent sold her first commissioned painting. Many years later in art school, she won for Canada in a paid worldwide competition. The artwork was published in the book, "Pater Noster," sold worldwide in museums at that time. Her work was shown in a group show (by invitation) with Rembrandt, Peter Paul Reubens and other famous artists of history (2001). In 2000 her work was shown in New York City as one of the top ten in another world wide competition.
She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Physics and Mathematics and worked in the oil patch for 7 years. In 1981, Mrs. Sargent completed her four year painting major program at the Alberta College of Art.
