As the Vice President of Business Development and Art Finance Operations of ArtAssure Ltd. LC as well as a Certified Financial Planner practitioner, Shelley Fischer is tasked with a variety of responsibilities including developing new business; overseeing administrative operations and projects; delivering exceptional client service; and managing relationships with all clients. She thrives in this creative, fast-paced, intellectually challenging work environment, and enjoys mentoring others. Prior to joining ArtAssure Ltd. LC, Ms. Fischer was Senior Vice President of Sotheby's Financial Services, the lending arm of one of the world's two largest auction houses, for 19 years. She attributes her success to her education, goal-oriented nature and her genuine drive to see others reach their personal and/or financial goals.
Ms. Fischer earned a Master of Arts from New York University and a License-es-lettres from the Universite de Paris VIII, Vincennes. She was a Board Member of the Financial Planning Association of New York (FPANY), and is now a member of FPANY, NYU Alumni Association, 85 Broads, the National Association for Female Executives, Women's Leadership Exchange, French American Business Alliance, and Art Professionals Worldwide, among others.
ArtAssure Ltd. LC is in the business of fine art, providing guarantees on fine art consignments to auction and other auction and private sale services. Shelley's financial planning business is client-goal oriented exclusively. The planning process includes an emphasis on financial literacy and covers debt and credit management, net worth and cash flow analysis, insurance, investment, retirement, estate, and tax planning. She sells no investment or insurance products and manages no financial assets.
