Industry Leader Laureen Marchand Added to Cambridge Who's Who Network
Laureen Marchand received the Award for Service to the Province of Saskatchewan in 2005
VAL MARIE, SASKATCHEWAN, CANADA, September 8, 2010 /Art and Artists PR News/ -- Laureen Marchand, Director and Owner of Grasslands Gallery, Tutor and Co-Founder of Ballynakill Artists School, and Adjunct Faculty at University of Maryland University College, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership, and excellence in business management, the arts, and education.
Ms. Marchand has 30 years of overall professional experience. At her current posts, she manages business operations, maintains her own art practice, features and promotes the work of other artists, teaches art and teaches library and research skills, and conducts research. She also worked in the field of library science from 1978 to 2009, mostly at a management or supervisory level.
In 1895, Ms. Marchand earned her Master of Fine Arts from the University of Saskatchewan. She earned her Master of Library Science in 1978 from the University of Western Ontario, and her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Alberta. A workshop leader for and long-time member of Canadian Artists Representation/Le Front des artistes canadiens, she received the Award for Service to the Province of Saskatchewan in 2005.
