Amazing Artist Is Displayed In The Ranks Of Stanford Who's Who
Jean James has been accepted among the prestigious ranks of Stanford Who's Who as a result of her outstanding effort in the Arts.
PETERBOROUGH, ON, CANADA, January 23, 2011 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Jean James has been accepted among the prestigious ranks of Stanford Who's Who as a result of her outstanding effort in the Arts. As a successful Solo Artist for the past 20 years, Jean has routinely exhibited the passion, vision and dedication necessary to be considered among the best.
Jean is a phenomenal painter who works on oil paintings, seeking a glimpse of the universal in the study of the particular. She has a unique ability to utilize a combination of shapes, color and light which result in realism, fantasy and abstraction in her work. Jean has studied all over the world, learning from whoever she could. She has studied with many Canadian artists, Keith Keller in San Miguel d'Allende, Mexico; briefly at The Art Students League, NY; with Leida Blom and Syl Pepperkamp, Holland; and at the artists' residency at Can Serrat, near Barcelona.
Jean's work has been displayed throughout the world which has resulted in numerous awards. Among the awards she has received are the 2006 Palm Award of Excellence in Leipzig, Germany; 2005 Invitational Resita Art Camp in Romania; 2003 Buckhorn Fine Art Festival First Prize; 1998 East Central Ontario Art Association Juried Show Don Maddocks Award; and the 1998 Buckhorn Open Festival Honorable Mention.
